Hi Everyone

Well not much to report from last week because so many teams were either defaulted to, had a bye or were deferred. At least there is a few more in action this week. GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS

Early in the New Year we will be holding a raffle to raise money for the Reunion Celebrations. As you can imagine, the organization and expense for such an event is substantial and although subsidized by registrations etc there will still be a shortfall. We really need all club members help to sell at least 2 books each, so we can maximize our income and make our celebrations something for everyone to be proud of. We are also looking for a printer who may be able to help us out with the printing of tickets, or perhaps you would like to sponsor a prize. If you are able to help, please either see me or phone me on 4785789. Hopefully your team managers have given you all the information regarding the Club’s 70th Reunion. If you know anyone who may be interested who has not received this letter, just pass it on. The more the merrier!!!!

Jackpot Joker starts this week at $257 which would be a nice Chrissie present for anyone. Tickets are $2 so make sure you get yours to be in for the draw. Once again let’s get behind our fundraising efforts.

We would like to thank our sponsors for their continued support and encourage you to support their businesses. Robin Cutting Flooring is once again sponsoring the Bar tab. It goes up for grabs again this afternoon so make sure you have 6 players present (this means in the clubrooms, not outside!) at 6.00pm to be in the draw. We are also running the kitchen this year with Hot Chips, Pies, Chippies, Drinks and sweets all available. Please support this venture which is kindly sponsored by Johnsonville Dry cleaners.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those that support us at the Club rooms each week, be it turning up for a quick drink, buying a pie from the kitchen or buying a Jackpot Joker ticket. That’s what Clubs are all about, supporting ourselves and each other! A big thank you to the band of helpers in the kitchen, you guys are awesome!! 

To all of those players competing in rep tournaments early in the New Year, good luck and go hard. We are proud of your achievements!
